Fall in Switzerland: an ideal time of the year to visit this beautiful country

Since I live in Switzerland I have been trying to experience the fall in the parks nearby and along the lakes. This season is really breathtaking so I walk whenever I can to see the colors changing.

Here are a few shots of my favorite autumn pictures:

Lake of Zurich

This shot was taken from my office window. I really enjoy the peaceful lake view, the stormy sky and the beautiful color of the tree.

Villa in park

I went almost every day to this park near my home, where this was taken. The colors of the tree were changing so rapidly. It was just perfect after the rain and the sun came back. Many orange and yellow leaves had fallen and left a beautiful colorful carpet.

Tihis tiny island in Zurich is my favorite place to go. This reflecting tree was taken on a beautiful sunny day in mid November.

Zurich Promenade, next to Burkliplatz

I seized the opportunity and took a stroll along the lake on a Saturday afternoon. This year early October has been a warm month; it was an indian summer in Zurich.

Alpine field outside of Innerthal (Canton of Schwyz)

This beautiful landscape is easily reachable via the highway and a small country road, 1 hour from Zurich. That day we walked for 4 hours around the lake of Wägital.

This colorful tree with the wind blowing was taken around 4 p.m. at the beginning of October. It was a great reward after a long hiking day.

Sattelegg (Canton of Schwyz)

What a lovely place to rest after a steep incline! It was taken on the way to Alpegg. We enjoyed the beautiful evergreen trees and mountain peaks.

Wollishofen port-Zurich

I passed by this pergola of reddish leaves at the end of October. Once again I was struck by this beautiful place I know so well.
