You love hiking, then why not heading to Rigi Kulm this month?
Rigi Kulm is beautiful all year long. It is located in the canton of Lucerne at an altitude of 1800 meters and about 35-40 minutes from Zurich.
Drive to Arth Goldau or Vitznau to take a train or to Weggis for a gondola.
The gondola from Weggis to Rigi Kaltbad leave every 30 minutes: works since 1968.
In Arth/Goldau, take the cogwheel train to Rigi Kulm: operates since 1875. Count a 45 minute ride to get to the top.
The train going from Vitznau to Rigi Kulm became in 1871 the first European railway.
There are possibilities for walks for all types of walkers:experienced or not, slow or fast, Nordic walkers and even with wheelchairs or baby carriages.
The views from Kaltbad to Unterstetten and then to Klösterli are unforgettable. You will enjoy sights of the Lake of Lucerne with the island of Vitznau. It is better for children still staying in a carriage or for older children. Also you will find easy paths from Känzeli. You can choose paths going from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
So take the opportunity now to do some last minute walks in the mountains before the cooler weather arrives.
Fall schedule starts on October the 24th.
Enjoy your day in Rigi!
