Il Tavolo Food Festival is back (Zurich)

Do you love Mediterranean dishes and gourmet cuisine? Are you looking for something different to do and to have a great time? Would you like to meet amateur chefs or celebrity chefs from well-known restaurants?

Then, don’t miss Il Tavolo. The food festival comes back to Zurich for the second time at the end of June with its 200 meter long table. It will start with a Première on June 27th at the Restaurant Bärengasse with the singer of Yellow Dieter Meier and ends with a family brunch on June 30th at the Zurich Engrosmarket on the Aargaustrasse.

During 4 days there will be 6 events where a total of 18 Top Chefs will be preparing wonderful food in 6 hosting restaurants. Amateur chefs like singer Dieter Meier, TV & Radio presenter Monika Schärer or the Egyptian businessman Samih Sawiris will be sharing recipes and tips while cooking.

No doubt you can find something which can suit you or your family as the events will not only be in the evenings but  also at lunch and brunch time. In addition there will be an after show party on Saturday after the long night at the Tavolata.

Which are the hosting restaurants taking part in Il Tavolo?

There are Baur au Lac, Park Hyatt, Eden au Lac, Storchen, Dolder Grand and Widder Hotel.

Who are the celebrity chefs you may see during Il Tavolo?

There are David Thompson from restaurant Nahm in London, Gregor Zimmermann from the Bellevue Palace in Bern, Reto Mathis from Food Affairs in St Moritz, Pascal Schmutz from restaurant Epoca in Waldhaus Flims, Joachim Karsten from restaurant Tao’s in Zurich, Heiko Nieder from the Dolder Grand, Frank Widmer from Park Hyatt in Zurich, Giuseppe Stornioli from Eden au Lac in Zurich, Maurice Marro from Baur au Lac and many more.

• the Première launched by Dieter Meier at the restaurant Bärengasse – June 27th from 7 pm
• the dashing chefs at the six hosting restaurants – June 28th from 7 pm
• the Il mercato lunch at the Engrosmarket in Zurich – June 29th from noon to 2:30 pm
• the long night at the tavolata at the Engrosmarket in Zurich –  June 29th at 7 pm
• the after show party at the Engrosmarket – June 29th from 10 pm with Dieter Meier
• the Il Tavolo’s family brunch at the Engrosmarket – June 30th from 10:00 am with magicians and clowns
