Before entering the ice Maxim Trankov told us how excited they were to have won back a gold medal for their country. Maxim said hat even if he and his partner were nervous competing in Sochi, their years of experience and successful competitions allowed them to skate at their best. When asked what goal they had for the games either to win the gold or to make it on the podium, Maxim simply answered it was “skate good”.
