Where to for Easter?

Have you thought of going somewhere for Easter?

You only have one more month left, so it is time to make plans if you have not already done so.

Here are a few suggestions:

  • Sharm-el-Sheikh, Sinai (Egypt)

Do you like snorkeling, diving or are interested in adventures in the Sinai desert?

It is the perfect time to visit the beautiful beach resort of Sharm el Sheikh as the temperatures outside are ideal.

  • Nice,  Côte d’Azur (France)

Stroll along the Promenade des Anglais, pass by the hotel Negresco, head out to the old city and port and visit the Matisse museum.

Nearby are great places to visit such as the village of Eze and of course Cannes.

  • Vienna (Austria)

Vienna will enchant you all year long, but Easter is a great time for a visit. How does a boat tour on the Danube, a coffee and cake outside a famous Konditorei, an opera, a visit at the Kunsthistorisches museum or stroll through the Schonbrunn park sound?

  • Paris (France)

Visit the gardens and parks of Versailles, Luxembourg and the Tuileries. Stroll on the famous avenue des Champs-Elysées, wander along the Seine or take a boat tour and enjoy a lunch outside at café or restaurant with a view of the Eiffel Tower. If you have children, take a short train ride to Disneyland in Marne-la-Vallée.

  • Prag (Czech Republic)

If you are interested in history, Prag is for you. Visit the castle, the old town’s square, the churches, the Jewish quarter and of course stroll on the Charles’s bridge.

  • Berlin (Germany)

A few days won’t be enough to see all museums, parks and attractions Berlin has to offer but it is a good start. I recommend heading out for one afternoon to Postdam to visit some of the castles and take a boat tour.

  • Poitiers, Poitou Charentes (France)

Take a train ride to Poitiers 1h30 from Paris. Poitiers is a very interesting city. Click here for reading my article, which was published in the magazine “Destination France”.

I suggest you rent a car for a day and drive to the multi-media theme park Futuroscope.
