Paris and the Tour de France 2011

Who will be the winner of the 98th Tour de France tomorrow and wear the Yellow Jersey? Will it be Andy or Franck Schleck from Luxembourg, the French Thomas Voeckler or the Australian Cadel Evans who just won today in Grenoble?

That’s it after 21 days across France, 2131 miles/3,430 km, the famous bicycle race will arrive on Sunday July 24th on the Champs-Elysées.

The arrival is planned around 5:00 p.m.  If you live in Paris or are visiting the capital, don’t miss it.  Try to arrive early as a large crowd is expected to welcome the cyclists.

The last day’s program:

  • 59 miles/95 km from Créteil to Paris
  • will be on the Champs-Elysées 16 times, pass Place de la Concorde

This year to celebrate the 100 years since the first time in the Col du Galibier (Hautes Alpes), the Tour de France went there twice.

It started in the region of Vendée to end in Paris like the last 35 years.

That the best one wins!
