Sixday-Nights Zurich 2012

Are you a fan of bicycle races and track races? Then, don’t miss the Sixday-nights in Zurich this week.

The bicycle races are about to start at the Hallenstadion. This year it will already be the 56th time, having begun in 1956. Until 2011 the race lasted six nights, but it is now reduced to four intensive nights.

From November 28th until December 1st, 12 teams will compete against each other. Professionals and amateurs from Germany, Austria, Spain, Great Britain, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Czech Republic and of course Switzerland will be there.

If you are interested in watching the races, the times and dates are as following:

  • Wed: from 6:30 p.m. to midnight
  • Thur: from 6:30 p.m. to midnight
  • Fri: from 6:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
  • Sat: from 6:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

It is possible to have dinner there. Entertainment will be with the band of Emmental Simu & Simu on Wednesday and Thursday and on Friday and Saturday with the 3 Zillertaler.

Backstage tours are available.

So why not planning a visit to the Hallenstadion to support last year’s winner Franco Marvulli (Switzerland) with Iljo Keisse (Belgium) and Tristan Marguet, who won the fourth leg of the Tour of Berlin in 2009 (Switzerland)?
