Is Switzerland’s history as luscious as its celebrated cheese? “Perhaps, not!”, says the author of Swisstory, Laurie Theurer

Love brought her to the land of alps but her curiosity for the culture and language made her write about the piquant history of Switzerland. Meet Laurie Theurer, the author of Swisstory: The untold, bloody, and absolutely real history of Switzerland. Her passion for writing made this pharma professional and middle-grade teacher venture first into flash fiction, picture books and poetry before debuting her full-length book on the Schwyz’s history.

Vivamost talked to Laurie Theurer to learn more about the book, her inspiration for the subject, and sources for research. From cow’s poop to a witch hunt, we bantered on all the humorous and serious chapters of the book. This interview by far is the most delightful interviews we have had so far. Hope you too will find it as amusing.

You can buy the book from the publishing house, Bergli Books Website, in both English and German versions. There is also a kindle version for both English and German books on Amazon. And, to know more about the author, here is Laurie’s website
