Crédit Suisse Swiss Sports Awards 2014

Since 1997 Credit Suisse is the sponsor of the Swiss Sports Awards. A few days ago it released the list of nominees for the Swiss Sports Awards 2014:

The men nominees are: Dario Cologna (cross country skiing, Roger Federer (tennis), Nevin Galmarini (snowboard), Kariem Hussein (athletics), Iouri Podladtchikov (snowboard), Andy Schmid (hand-ball), Nino Schurter (VTT), Matthias Sempach (wrestling), Sandro Viletta (downhill skiing) and Stan Wawrinka (tennis)

The women nominees are: Selina Gasparin (biathlon), Dominique Gisin (downhill skiing), Lara Gut (downhill skiing), Mujinga Kambundji (athletics), Patrizia Kummer (snowboard), Jolanda Neff (VTT), Daniela Ryf (triathlon), Florence Schelling (ice hockey), Nicola Spirig (triathlon) and Giulia Steingruber (artistic gymnastic)

The ceremony will take place on Sunday December 14th. You will be able to watch the red carpet with “Glanz & Gloria” on SRF1 starting at 8:05 p.m. Then the ceremony will be shown live on RTS2, SRF1 and RS1 LA2 at 8.15 p.m. Every one can vote per telephone. The number will be given to you that day.

Last year’s winners, Dario Cologna and Giulia Steingruber are once again nominated. Roger Federer, who is also nominated, has won the title 5 times and one time with Stan Wavrinka in the category Best team of the year. Nicola Spirig already won the title in 2009.
