Pop Art Exhibitions with James Francis Gill (*1934) in Germany & Switzerland
If you love contemporary art and are a fan of Pop Art, then you should not miss the exhibitions in Germany this year. In addition there will be one exhibition in Zurich, Switzerland. The American Pop Art icon, James Francis Gill, will be back in Europe this Spring for the vernissages of a few exhibitions.

If you are not familiar with Mr. Gill’s art, he got famous in 1962 with his painting “Marilyn Triptych”, which is exhibited at the MOMA, the New York Museum of Modern Art.
He has been working very hard in his Texas home to have new paintings finished and is very excited about the tour, said to me his wife, Ann, who will be travelling with him.
The first exhibition will start at Galerie Wild in Zurich (Heinrichstrasse 215) on February 12th with a vernissage on Saturday 15th at 11:00 a.m. It will go on until March 28th. Gallery Wild will show 18 original works and 10 serigraphs. The artist will not be in Zurich for the vernissage.
If you care for bigger art fairs, Premium Modern Art will be at ART Innsbruck from February 20th to 23rd and the following month at ART Karlsruhe from March 13th-16th. James Francis Gill will be in Karlsruhe with Ted Bauer, the director of his European management. There will be 15 serigraphs and some selected original paintings.
One of the paintings in Karlsruhe will be the “Marilyn Golden Anniversary,”(101,5 x 135,5 cm) made by the artist for the 50th jubilee of his “Marilyn Triptych”.
Since 2012 Premium Modern Art represents James Gill exclusively in Europe, Russia and Switzerland.
