In June the President of the Memorial and Museum, Joe Daniels, told Reuters that a fee may be issued to enter the museum when it opens in September 2012. The annual cost of 50 to 60 millions dollars would be too high if a fee of 20 or even 25 dollars is not asked. Families are not happy. Nothing is sure yet.
Donation and fund raisings have started. Even the US Mint has issued about 2 millions coins for the anniversary.
