The Salon du Chocolat celebrates its 25th

The Salon du Chocolat doesn’t need any more introduction. Since 1994 the chocolate fair opens its doors at the end of October in Paris. It is the time where designers, maîtres chocolatiers and maîtres patissiers come together to create the most beautiful and amazing creations.

When I met the founder, Sylvie Douce, in Zurich at the chocolate fair, she shared she had big ambitions for the Salon du Chocolat. She without a doubt succeeded with her team and her husband François Jeantet to organize in 25 years 237 shows, about 15 a year!

She shared eating about the same amount of the Swiss each year, which is 12kg while the French only eat 7 kg according to the latest survey!

This year at the fair at the Porte de Versailles from today until Sunday November 3rd you will be able to enjoy chocolate tastings, watch chocolate demonstrations, workshops and fabulous fashion shows. At the stand B9 the Trophée international de la patisserie francaise is taking place, so don’t miss if you want to become chef patissier or always wanted to know how to make Black forest cakes, Babas or Paris Brests.

Enjoy the Salon!
