Have you ever heard of the Gourmesse?
If you are not familiar with it, but if you love food and wine, the Gourmesse is for you. It is a show sponsored by the Swiss Food Magazine “Salz & Pfeffer”.
This year, it is already the 17th show and the organisers are expecting over 10,000 visitors.
At the show you will be able to cook with well-known chefs, go to seminars and interesting lectures about food and wine, do some wine tastings and try desserts, cheese, sausage and much more.
For the first time since 1995, there will be a kitchen party with nine chefs. It is planned for Monday October 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This costs extra and you need to sign up in advance.
More than 150 stands are waiting for you. The Swiss canton of Thurgau and the country of Italy with the regions Emilia Romagna and Modena will be honored in this year’s show. Bio Suisse is at the Gourmesse for the first time.
Does this sound interesting to you?
You will see during your visit well-known chefs or new chefs, such as Arno Sgier, Tobias Funke, Christian Nickel, René Schudel, TV cook, Meta Hiltebrand, and food journalist, Patrick Zbinden.
Just a few months away from Christmas, it maybe a good time to come and learn more about Foie Gras and Champagne and to get some cooking tipps from reknown chefs.
So, when and where is it?
For those of you, coming with children there will be babysitting during the entire show inside of the exhibit halls. In addition there is a section for kids who are interested in cooking.
Hope to see you there and don’t forget to bring back some delicious food you can enjoy during the cooler days at home!
