A Golden Eye Award for Helen Hunt

American actress Helen Hunt will receive tonight at the Zurich Film Festival a Golden Eye for her career. She is the first actress to be honored at the ZFF with such a prize.

Helen Hunt, known for her role in the TV series “Mad about You” with actor Paul Reiser and for her films “Twister”, “As Good as it Gets” and “What Women Want”, is in Zurich this week to present her new film “The Sessions”.

In an interview this afternoon with director Ben Lewin and co-stars John Hawkes and Blake Lindsley she said she was happy to receive the Golden Eye but continued smiling “I hope it is an award that celebrates the middle of my career!”

 

She explained that she took the role in this film because it was a good story. This is the most important thing to her in selecting a movie. She likes spending time with her daughter and in order to give up that time she stresses that the role has to be “something compelling”.

“The Sessions” will be playing on Sept 21st at 21:00 at Corso 1 and on Monday September 24th at 20:15  at Arena 5.
