This year the foundation Beyeler near Basel exhibited 150 of the most beautiful paintings and drawings on Venice from Canaletto, Turner to Monet. I had the chance to go see it and was amazed by the exhibit.
If you are interested on the topic of Venice, more museums in Europe are still hosting exhibits on it:
Zurich Kunsthaus is hosting an exhibit until January 17th 2010 on George Seurat.
George Seurat art of works will be as well at the Shirn Kunsthalle in Frankfort am Main in Germany from February-May 2010.
The exhibit Renoir on the 20th century can be seen from June 12th 2010 until September 5th 2010 at the Philadephia Museum of Art.
At the Museum El Prado in Madrid, check out the exhibit about Turner from June 22d 2010 until September 19th 2010.
If you are a fan of Edward Munch, many countries such as Germany, Irland, Austria and Danemark are hosting an exhibit in his honor this year. Two exhibits on the artist can still be seen in Copenhagen until December 6th 2009 at the museum of Charlottenlund Ordrupgaard and in Vienna throughl February 2010 at the Leopold Museum.
I also noticed that there will be a lot of exhibits on Dürer and Toulouse Lautrec next year in 2010.
Have fun while visiting the world best museums!
