What would be a spectacle without its artists?
They are the ones keeping the shows alive. The competition is difficult at circuses because there so many especially in Germany. Circus owners have to find their artists early. Not only, they have to find the best.

Last week during an afternoon performance of the circus Conelli Vivamost spent the entire show with the artists. We were greeted by Roby Gasser, the director and owner of the circus. Then came Jeremy Gasser, his son (23) who led us to them.
Thirty minutes before the beginning of the show they were all in their dressing rooms. Preparation varies depending who goes first in the chapiteau. Some were just getting dressed while others were stretching, listening to music, talking with their families or “meditating”.
Alex and Liza – credits Sma-eventsWe first met with two brilliant Ukrainian, Alex (23) and Liza (21). They started working together 5 years ago when they both stopped being professional athletes. They met in elementary school in sports. Conelli is their first contract in the circus business. Before they have been working primarily in theaters. For them it was clear circus was the way to go as they both love art and to create. No doubt the duo will go far. Their performance gave us the chills. They moved so beautifully together with precision, grace and love. The song picked out from Serge Lama “Je suis malade” couldn´t have been better for it. Those instants were magical and grandiose and the audience felt it and wanted more.

Then we talked for a very long time with Alejandro and Ricardo from Duo Vanegas. The Colombian have years of experience and their performance on the wheel of death is extraordinary. The Vanegas will keep your breath away! Read more here for the full interview.
