The nights of Berlin are painted bright and colorful with one of the indispensable element of our life – light. Festival of Lights has been ornamenting Berlin for 15 years now. Every year it comes back with more radiating and artistic light art. One of the important buildings and squares that transformed into canvases for this year’s festival are Brandenburg Gate, TV Tower and Neuer Marstall. The 10 day event is power-packed with engaging open-air exhibitions and concerts to entertain people across Berlin.
The theme for this year is very special for it marks 30 years of the fall of the Berlin wall. The city is being immersed in emotions that tell story and struggle of freedom during those tiring divided times. The event commenced on October 11th and is coming to an end this weekend, October 20th. Festival of Lights has a theme song performed by famous German-Tunisian pop singer, Ayman, titled “Turn the lights on”.
Festival of Lights will certainly leave you ravenous just as it did last year even more so this year. The festival attracted 3 million crowd in 2018 and it is expected to titillate more with its extravagant projections all over the city.
