If you have not heard of him, then you need to know that in 2006 his restaurant got listed Nbr. 6 out 100 Best restaurants in Switzerland. Last year Bumann was picked by the T.V show Bumann Restaurant Tester to run the show.
With 18 Gaultmillau Points and 2 stars on the Michelin Guide Book, there is no doubt that your evening at Bumann’s can only be an unforgettable one.
Originally from Wallis, Daniel Bumann opened his restaurant Chesa Pirani outside of St. Moritz in 1995. He is known as the “king of saffron”. You eat in an historical house from 1750 and the inside is made of typical Engadin wood.
We were brought delicious tapas to start with like a Raclette on a piece of tile. The entire meal was spectacular just like the wines. At the end if you are a cheese lover, you will be impressed with the cheese tray.
Many actors, sportsmen and celebrities like Queen Sylvia and Carl Gustav from Sweden dined there. So why not you? Soon you could be in the magical world of Daniel Bumann’s.

I only know him, unfortunately, from his tv-shows, which always make me very hungry!
Unfortunately the distance Basel-La Punt is rather long.
I would love, to try his cuisine myself!
