Circus Conelli – originality, style and precision

I have to confess I am not much of a circus fan. I have never been. So when I got the invitation

to participate at the VIP Premiere of the circus Conelli I could almost see in front of my eyes the

sad looking clown, whose face is frowning into a tragically fake smile. I could also picture lots

of exotic and horribly docile animals, looking outstanding and sparkling but also extremely

exhausted after each show, while they are put into their cages, just to be dragged out the next

day.

Circus Conelli has none of the above mentioned. However, what you’ll find during the show is

an atmosphere that is going to take you to the highest levels of thrills and excitement, a

succession of carefully and exquisitely arranged numbers, a choreography that is a clear proof of

experience and years of diligent practice, a great variety of acrobatic stunts that take your breath

away, a show that is bound to give you goose-bumps, over and over again.

There are no clowns or better yet, there are two characters who remind me of two classical actors

and as much as I am tempted to disclose their names, I am not going to ruin the surprise, all I can

say is that the minute I saw Gaston and Roli, I had an intense feeling of deja vue and I loved the

pertinent similarities between the characters. Gaston and Roli need not a thick layer of make-up,

they are predestined to play the characters they play and they do it with candor and authenticity.

Just wait for it.
