If you don’t know where to bring your children this fall, I recommend the animal park in Langnau in Albis. It is beautiful with all the fall leaves!
Elks in the Langenberg park
It was founded in December 1869 by the forest superintendent, Carl Anton Ludwig von Orelli. At the age of 61, he founded the oldest zoo in Switzerland. He lived in a house in the park.
Carl Anton Ludwig von Orelli - Langenberg animal park
The first animal in the park was the deer. Since more animals can be seen in the 80 hectares of land: wolves, bears, foxes, boars, bisons, Przewalski horses, jackrabbits, elks and much more.
Deers in the Langenberg park
The park was renovated in the fall last year with a new bridge crossing the Albistrasse road, a brand new playground, many new cages and exhibits.
Bear in the Langenberg park
There is a nice carousel, three playgrounds and a cafeteria. When the weather is nice especially in the summer, they grill sausages outside.
