Glamour, awards and musical acts at the Schiffbau in Zurich
In just a few days, Mercedes-Benz will be sponsoring major fashion shows in Zurich West, the “Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days”. For four days, Swiss and Internationals designers will present their Spring/Summer collections to the general public. Two awards will take place, the 9th Annabelle award and in exclusivity the Fibers & Yarns award from the Shanghai Donghua University. Like the last two years, musical acts will entertain the crowds.

Four nights, four themes:
Wednesday night November 7th: “An homage to design & desire”
- Marco de Vicenzo, Italian designer, who won the “Who is Next” prize from Vogue Italia in 2009
- MSGM di Massimo Giorgetti, Italian designer, in the fashion business since 2004 with his label (MSGM) since 2008. He won the Vogue prize “Who is Next” in 2010.
- Angelo Bratis, Greek designer living in Rome who was the revelation in 2011, winning the “Who is Next”.
- Mila Schön’s fashion designs from the renown & deceased Italian designer, Mila Schön. Many celebrities like the Onassis wore her clothes.
- Swiss band, Pegasus from Biel will perform that evening. Their first album “Back on Christmas” was released in 2007.
Thursday night November 8th: “Homage to the Youth”
- 9th Annabelle Award will be presented by the famous hair dresser, Paul Mitchell. One of the five finalists (Flaka Jahaj, living in Paris, Desirée Gabriel, living in Luxembourg, Julia Winkler, living in Berlin, Stéphanie Rosianu and Safia Semlali from Switzerland) will be get a six month internship in Paris by Barbara Bui.
- French designer Barbara Bui will show her new collection on the catwalk.
- Three Swiss designers, Claudia Zuber, Rural Phuengkit and Van Bery designs (Berivan Meyer & Marie Tournant) will be there.

Friday night November 9th: “An homage to diversity”
- the Swiss night will have five Swiss designers on the catwalks: Marc Stone, Javier Reyes, LBD White, Kazu & Portenier Roth
- the showcase Fibers & Yarns award from the Lasa’er International Fashion Institute Design (public University of Donghua) in Shanghai, sponsored by Oerlikon, the largest manufacturer of textile machines. This has never been shown before in Europe.
Saturday night November 10th: “An homage to Glamour & Nightlife”
- Catwalk from Polish fashion designer, Dawid Tomaszewski. He found his label in 2008 after receiving the “Premium Young Designer” award in Berlin.
- Catwalk from Arzu Kaprol with Turkish origins. She has been in the business for almost twenty years. Stars such as Meg Ryan has worn her clothes.
- Catwalk from Dimitri from Dimitri Zafiriou , a Greek fashion designer, who won the first award at the 7th Hellenic Fashion week in 2008.
- Catwalk from British designer, Charlotte Ronson. Since she started a decade ago with her label, the young designer has worked with JC Penney and Sephora.
- Music for the evening with pop singer, Kyla La Grange whose first album “Ashes” came out in July this year.
Parties in various places in Zurich will end the fashion shows on Friday & Saturday nights.
