In Zurich this weekend, Sept 24th & Sept 25

If you are in town this weekend, there are a lot of activities for families to enjoy:

1. Circus Monti: shows until October 9th

Come and experience the well known Monti shows at the Kasernenareal square:  clowns, jongling, trapezist, acrobats, music and animal shows. You can even have an apéro or dinner at the circus.

 

2. Zurich Multimobil from Sept 21st to Sept 25th

More than 72 programs in five days for children and their parents: skateboard shows, velos rides, old trams, various shows, international food, walks through the city. Zurich turns into a pedestrian zone. The main reason for this is to show people how to live without a car and teach them for example how to read a bicycle map etc…

 

3. 17th European Freestyle Competion on the Landiwiese Sept 24th-25th)

This year again will compete for two days FMX riders, skiers, snowboarders and skateboaders to become the best freestyle champion. If you want to attend during the qualifications,  come on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11 p.m. The semi and finals will be on Sunday from 1300 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

There will be one concert at 8:00 p.m on Sat. and an Afterburner Party after 10:00 p.m.

4. Exhibit about mummies and mummifcation process.

It just started and will be shown until January 2012.

At the Irchel University in Zurich for 15 CH and free for children until 6 years of age.

 

5. Zurich International Film Festival (Sept 22d to October 2d)

Saturday 24th: Gala Premiere of George Klooney movie “The Ides of March”

Sunday 25th: Gala Premiere of “Margin Call” with actor Jeremy Irons and director J. C. Chandor on the green carpet .
