Marek Boguszak is a Czech photographer from Prague. Landscape photography – in Tuscany in particular – is his prime domain. Recently he has been working on the project “What the eyes don’t see” which focuses on creating abstract landscapes revealing veiled frames, structures, textures, and colour palettes of landscapes.
At ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH 2020 he shows works created within the project “What the eyes don’t see”.
Artist statement about this project:
“The things you see here are not visible to the naked eyed in the world outside. When you look at a landscape, you perceive an impressive whole, well-kept field, beautiful valleys, distant horizons, dramatic skies. But the naked eye will not make out the intricate structure of a faraway patch of land. It will not find the scenery presented at different angles. It will not register its full colour palette or even complementary colours. These things can be found in the works displayed.”
Visit him at Art International Zurich from Oct 1st to Oct 4th.
