Sara Hochuli from Les Gourmandises de Miyuko in Zurich and Maitre Chocolatier, Pascal Beschle, in Basel will be at the Salon du Chocolat today. At 5:40 p.m. the two will talk about their new creation, Matcha.
The two joined forces this year and made a 50g chocolate bar called Matcha. It is the first time that two houses get together to develop a new chocolate, said proudly the sales director at Beschle, Roger Greiner. He added the two had lots of fun making and working together.
Matcha is made with some Japanese tea, cocoa, yogurt, milk and sugar. The design of the packaging was made by Sara, who is also a fashion designer. Pascal Beschle produced the bar in Basel at the Beschle chocolateria.
Matcha was launched last night at the Avant-Première of the second Salon du Chocolat in Zurich.
I was able to taste a piece of Matcha before the fair opened and it is delicious.
And the packaging itself is just a treasure, a green Japanese dress, with a lady holding a fan and wearing a green wig. Speechless!
