Some of you may have been on the sushi or the fondue tram, but did you know there is a chocolate tram in Zurich? The oldtimer tram runs every year in November through Zurich downtown.

We took part of the ride today as the tram began its route at 1.30pm. Today is the first day. It started in 2011 by my aunt, said the CEO of Honold, Cristina de Perregaux. She is the great grand-daughter of Fritz Honold, who started the famous Swiss confiserie in Switzerland in 1905.

We first started with a delicious hot chocolate drink. Mrs Perregaux added she loves drinking it with water. Then, came the Pain de Genes, a soft biscuit made with butter and almonds, a recipe from her great grand-father. It was followed with a tasting of various chocolates, the caramel truffle, the mendiant, the macadamia truffle, the truffle de Bolivie with is her favorite and the Grand Marnier, which is the classic and best seller.

The 30 minutes went by quickly. As we arrived back at the Bellevue station, many people were already waiting to come in.
