For the 2nd Salon du Chocolat in Zurich twelve maitres chocolatier and fashion designers had come together to make amazing chocolate dresses but also colourful bras, ribbons, laces, bows, pearls, necklaces and angel wings. The theme for the fashion shows this year was the new worlds of the chocolate. There were many dresses from Japan, South America and Europe.
More than half of the chocolatiers came from Switzerland like Laurent Robatel (Villars), Jean-Pascal Serignat (Du Rhone Chocolatier), Ariane Wirth (Suteria) and Pascal Beschle (Beschle).
The eleven women and one man, who participated in the fashion shows, had won the Salon du Chocolat’s casting in February. The visitors were able to elect their favourite model during the fair. The lucky winner will get a contract with the modeling agency Biba Model Management.
Vivamost had the chance to go backstage many hours before the Avant-Première to see the models get ready for the shows. If it was relatively quick to put a dress on (10-15 minutes), it took between 45 minutes to 1 hour for the make-up told us Fabienne, the model for Sophie & Didier Lemoine Canelés & Mariana Artiges.
Sara Hochuli, fashion designer and also backer at Les Gourmandes de Miyuko, helped the models put their wigs on. All models wore the wigs of Sara, who is the owner of Plastikhaar. The company, located in Zurich, makes wigs for various events. The models at the Salon du Chocolat, all wearing different coloured hair, dark black, orange, blond, red or even white, really looked beautiful.
