 1. Ice skating in Zurich

Ice skate for free in Heuried (Wasserschöpfi 71)

  • Saturday Feb. 20th
  • Wednesday March 3d from 6:30p.m.–9:30p.m. (you just need to pay for the shoes)

2. Going to the Zurich Zoo

Opened daily from 9a.m.to 5p.m. (Nov-Feb) and from 9a.m. to 6p.m. (March-October)

Free until Age 6. From Age 6 to 16: 11 CHF. Adults pay 22 CHF.

Family pass for one year: 160 CHF.

Penguin Parade: every day at 1:30p.m. until the temperature stays < 10 degrees.

There are three playgrounds in the zoo and a petting zoo.

We love to go feed the birds and ducks on the Saffa Island in Wollishofen. There is a bridge and it is safe for the children. Another good place is the Mythenquai Badi (Mythenquai 95). You can walk through it until May 12th.

Take the Zugerberg train at the Zugerberg Station, Zug.

Go early to use their free parking. Otherwise go back into the city and take the bus.
