Spring in Switzerland: time for strolls in the country and the city parks

Here are some of the places I enjoy the most in the Spring time in Switzerland.

Rose garden at the castle of Wildegg in Canton of Aargau

I had the chance to spend a day in the wonderful castle and gardens of Wildegg in Aargau. At that time in June, the roses in the garden at the entrance were in full bloom.

It is opened from April 1 to October 31st.

Irises garden in the Belvoir Park in Zurich

Every year around the month of May the Belvoir Park in Zurich is covered with irises. It is beautiful. If you love gardening and irises, it should not be missed. There are about 120 sorts of irises.

Belvoir Park: Seestrasse 157, Zurich Enge.

Montreux Promenade on the Swiss Riviera

One year, I had the opportunity to spend Easter in Montreux on the Swiss Riviera. The weather in early April was warm and various flowers were already blooming.

Flowers at the entrance of the Park im Gruene in Thalwil

The Migros Park im Gruene in Thalwil is a beautiful place to relax on a chair, stroll to look a the view the mountains or just enjoy the green grass and flowers around the property.

Crocuses in the Spring in Zurich near Burkliplatz

This picture was taken in March just before Easter. Crocuses were in full bloom at that time.

Hüttnersee in the Spring time

I love driving my car to the mountains near Zurich to discover new places. That day I happened to pass a small lake called Hüttnersee. The fields around were covered with flowers and bees!

Above Lucerne

It was a perfect sunny day in Lucerne. I walked and enjoyed the great view of the lake and nearby mountain peaks, still with snow.

Grindelwald ski resort

It was the last day of skiing for the year after the Easter weekend.

Quinten on the Walensee, Switzerland

If you drive about 40 minutes from Zurich, you will get to the Walensee. Park your car in Wessen and walk or take the boat to the charming village of Quinten.
