” The only time I feel alive is when I am painting “
Step in the footsteps of the life of Vincent Van Gogh and experience his world as never before.
You don´t have to travel to Amsterdam to see his paintings and not even enter a museum. Thanks to Grande Exhibitions and the Maag Halle in Zurich it is possible to immerse yourself in the life of one of the most recognizable painters of modern time.
For 45 minutes you will walk through the exhibition while enjoying the display of images shown on the numerous screens and floors. You may sit or stand, do as you wish. You may meditate reading the quotes of Van Gogh shown between his paintings.
Watch the magnificent display of colors, plants and nature Van Gogh painted. Listen to the grandiose selection of music such as the Four Seasons of Antonio Vivaldi, Gymnopedie No1 of Erich Satie or JS Bach&Charles Gounod Präludium Nr 1. In other moments you may even feel like dancing hearing music pieces of tavern Waltz while paintings of French cafes, kid with a Gavroche cap and people of daily life are being portrayed.
The exhibition is multi dimensional. We have the feeling the petals of flowers are falling on us, that papers or black birds are flying our way. This is done at the right tempo.
It begins with auto-portraits of the post-impressionist artist and ends with some. A biography in German and English is projected and changes just like the paintings.
It is just grandiose. 10,000 tickets have already been purchased before the opening yesterday. Over 6 millions visitors in the world have seen the exhibition. If you are an artist, love art or are just curious this is the show of the year to see!

I can’t wait to go – already saw some of his work at Atelier des Lumieres in Paris in September 2019 and excited to see more in Zurich. Thanks Veronique Gray!
Thank you Steph! You won’t be disappointed.
