The gift of Mediterranean

I was standing there, smelling the sea breeze. With every tide, the water touched my feet. I could feel the particles of salt and dust moving through my toes. The sun was about to lay down inside the sea where the last line of their kiss that our eyes can see. This is may be the most beautiful picture nature draws, the sunset.

In a small city like mine where there is a little open ranged place I enjoy sitting with friends at the sea, enjoy the salty, fresh air, the coldness of its breeze and the light blue color that come with the sky perfectly. The sound of music with the dance of its wave hitting the shore.

A simple sitting with friends, with no chairs, just crossing our legs, let them touch the sand, eating grilled corn, singing with the sea and to the sea. Kids were playing with the sand. Others want to enrich their experience by swimming and other by diving and enjoy it from the deep inside.

The earth consists of around 70% of water and our body cannot survive without water. H2O is the diamond of almost every living creature in this earth. It might be the reason we enjoy drinking, swimming and even sitting and looking at a sea, a waterfall or a river.

Sea is one of the gifts of nature and the heart of Gaza, my city. This is our beautiful escape, our friend, one of our limited economic sources. Yet I wonder how it can be an enemy sometimes, in assaulting when they can attack us from it or when it sinks a lover one who seeks escape from his miserable life under its waves.
