Arosa Horse race on Sunday January 23rd, 2011 (Switzerland)
On Sunday we headed out to Arosa near Chur. It is a short drive from Zurich and famous for its horse race on the lake of Obere Arosa. With St. Moritz it is the only place where races are held on the ice in the winter. Due to the warming weather conditions it was canceled on January 15th. It normally happens two weekends in a row. So, if you missed this weekend horse race, it is not too late to drive to Arosa on January 30rd.
This picture was taken during the last race won by jockey number 4, Porcu Daniele with African Art. Price for 1,8 km was 7000 CHF; not bad!
