Swiss designer Javier Reyes will be in Zurich this week to present his 2015 Spring/Summer collection. On Saturday November 15th he will show it at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days at the Schiffbau. The Fashion Days is a popular place for national and international designers to show their new collections. The runways last four days and are always very well attended.
A few weeks ago Reyes released his beautiful Winter collection, now on sale in his atelier in Bern. The designer recently took some time away from his busy life to talk about his work and what he will show in Zurich.
He will present about twenty garments, mainly dresses, which he said are made to make the woman feel natural and comfortable. At the same time it has to look modern. The inspiration for this upcoming collection came from observing street people during daily life and reading the book of the Belgian interior designer, Axel verwoordt “Wabi Inspirations.”
With his team of four it took about two months to complete the work. Many garments are made with Japanese linen and cotton organza silk. As the previous year the models will wear the shoes from the Swiss brand, Maison des Talons.
Reyes is extremely happy to be back to show his collection. Between this and his Winter collection he has not paused much. But as he said it so well his work keeps him alive. Even on Sundays you may find him at the Palace Bellevue near his atelier thinking of new creations while drinking a coffee.
For Vivamost he shared a few pictures of his exciting Spring/Summer collection. Why not coming and seeing it for yourself?
The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days will be at the Schiffbau from November 12th to November 15th.
