The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days in Zurich

The fifth edition of the Fashion Days in Zurich ended on Saturday night with some glamorous Swiss designer runways. During four days from November 12th-15th more than 25 national and international designers came to present their  Spring/Summer 2015 collections. 5000 people visited the shows at the Schiffbau in Zurich West.

The highlights of the year were the Max Mara show, the star designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s visit at the Annabelle Award ceremony, the Italian night and of course the amazing closing day with re-known Swiss designers.

The Italian night brought two excellent designers to Zurich: Di Liborio and Costume National. Di Liborio provocative and rock & roll creations rocked the crowd accompanied by the X-Rated Angels band. Ennio Capasa, the founder of Costume National, was inspired by his father. He presented a sexy & edgy chic collection with a touch of rock & roll. Stars like David Bowie and Angelina Jolie appreciate his designs.

On Saturday ten Swiss designers presented their collections. In the afternoon the crowd loved the runway of Kazu Huggler’s collection, the One-Five-Oh. Kazu, who has Japanese origins, featured her new bridal couture collection in honor of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Japan.

In the evening the runways started with the presentation of the Van Bery and Aziza collections, both absolutely amazing. Charming models wore the clothes of the Van Bery’s label (Berivan Meyer & Marie Tournant), showing many retro-chic dresses for ladies wanting to seduce. With a superb tango music Aziza showed its Spring & Summer collection made of elegant dresses. No matter if the dresses were for a gala dinner or a more simple occasion or in black or in red, the runway of Aziza did not leave the visitors indifferent.

Javier Reyes’ label, based in Bern, came to Zurich with a priceless collection made of chic and modern dresses, pants and blouses. His garments make a woman look very natural and comfortable. The designer was inspired by the book of the interior designer, Axel verwoordt “Wabi Inspirations.”

Stefanie Biggel, who started her label in 2012, showed clothing made for confident women, wanting to feel unique. Little Black Dress ended the fashion show and the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days with two collections, the cocktail dresses and the annual bridal collection. Joanna Skoczylas and Eliane Diethelm, the two designers of Little Black Dress, work very hard, always using the best quality materials to make the perfect dress! LBD’s collections are always well applauded.

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days will be back next year in November 2015.
