The King of Winter Circus, Salto Natale
There is tease, there is dance, there is fight and then there is laugh…Just like life. Salto Natale can’t be more original than this year’s spectacle. The Gala Premiere of 2019 had it all for its ardent audience in parkplatz, Kloten for the 17th time. The extravagant tent that looked no less than a Persian palace is artistically lit and ornate.

The efforts put in by Knies, Gregory and Rolf, are clearly visible in each fragment of the show. The bonanza entertainment started off with a little girl being led by group of fairytale angels into a dream. The dream filled with boundless freewill and at-will earthly commands.

It commenced with Air Ring performance by Alyona Pavlova, red and high on a ring with blazing confidence and jaw dropping stunts that make you question if she is even real. And, the wonder continues till the end of the show for all the acts presented by the circus. The duo Fullhouse, Henry Camus and Gaby Schmutz, had the folks in splits with their “romantic” disagreement over everything. Over and above, the highlight of the buoyant show is the Light Dance by the Extreme Light crew.

The synchronized LED-dancing certainly takes the pie for whipping up everyone to croon and tap. By the same token, the Aladdin and Genie performance was startling and not to mention the sensual and fanciful pole act by Duo Romance that perfectly depicts the interdependence of partners in a relationship. Other notable acts are Comedy Trapeze by Wolf Brothers, Chinese Dragon and Russian Swing by Pirates troop. And, of course, the complete ensemble could not have been successful for their music and lead singer. They were sharp and rapid and fruitful in preserving audience’s attention unwavering.
