The Zurich Chamber Orchestra is playing again Tuesday, June 23, 2020, several performances – Tonhalle Maag

On May 27, the Federal Council eased the measures to combat the corona virus. Based on the new regulations, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra can perform its season-closing concert on June 23, 2020.

Zurich, May 29, 2020 – On May 27, Health Minister Alain Berset announced that events with a maximum of 300 people will be allowed again from June 6, 2020. The Zurich Chamber Orchestra’s season-closing concert can thus take place. The musicians are very happy to play in front of an audience again on June 23, 2020 and to present a special program with works by Elgar, Bach and Vivaldi at the end of this extraordinary season.

Due to the upper limit of 300 people, the concert is played several times, one at 6.30 pm and at 8.30 pm. The concert will be held taking into account the current protection regulations. More information on the course of the event will be announced shortly.

People who already have a ticket for the season-closing concert will be contacted directly by the Zurich Chamber Orchestra for placement. After completing the rebooking, the remaining places can be purchased from June 15th.

The next decision of the Federal Council, which is about further easing, is expected on June 24, 2020. Large events with up to 1000 people remain prohibited until August 31, 2020. However, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra is looking forward with confidence and great anticipation to its 2020/21 anniversary season, which starts in autumn. The ZKO’s 75th anniversary program will be published on July 2.
