Viennese milk bread – Pain viennois (servings: 10 slices)
Viennese bread
What you need:
8.2 fluid oz (245 ml) of milk
2.8 oz (80 g) of butter
14.1 (400 g) of flour
1.7 oz (50 g) of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 packet of dry yeast plus 1 teaspoon
How to make it:
1. Using a bread machine, pour the milk first into the container.
2. Add melted butter.
3. Add flour. Put the salt on one side and the sugar on the other side. I cover with some flour.
4. On top add the yeast.
5. Select the program for milk bread. Count about 3h30 minutes in the bread machine. Remove about 5-10 minutes in advance before it is too burnt.
This bread is delicious with honey, jam and is not as rich as a French brioche.
