Anniversaries

Six months anniversary, already!

Veroshappytravels has been online for half a year already! I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have. It has been a lot of work, but traveling, working on the website and writing has been very rewarding.

More and more readers are visiting each day from all over the globe and are faithfully returning to read the articles and view the new photo of the week.

Great Falls, Montana and Cimetta over Locarno, Switzerland

Here are a few places we have been with Vero’s Happy Travels:

  • We have been to France and visited castles, gardens in the fall and the spring, a cheese farm, ski resorts and cities like Dijon in Burgundy.
  • We traveled to Rome in Italy and to the monastery of Melk in Austria.
  • We headed to Germany, to its capital for the Berlinale and of course to the well-known beer festival, the Oktoberfest. I reported about the Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall and about the Hotel Adlon.
  • We made it to Great Falls, Montana, Las Vegas and to the American National Parks.
  • We visited Zurich markets, the Zurich Zoo Masoala, the lake and learned about the festival of Sechseläuten. We also visited the castle of Chillon on the Swiss Riviera and made it to the Jungfraujoch in the Bern Oberland region. It has been exciting reporting about the country I live in.

Rome, Zurich, Munich

The first 6 months, every two weeks, the readers have been reading in English and in French a children’s story, Tim and Lili in Italy. The ten chapters will stay online for a while longer. Soon a new series will be added.

VerosHappyTravels.com offers articles to help families traveling with children. I call this section Family Travels. With the Summer vacation approaching, the articles on ‘packing for a trip with kids’ and ‘hike with your children’, could be of interest to you if you have not already read them. More articles related to the summer and families will soon be online too.

Veroshappytravels is also about cooking and we enjoyed recipes from many countries so far: Italy, France, India and Switzerland. We had some crèpes for the 2nd of February, Festival of Chandeleur and enjoyed a tartiflette and a cheese fondue during the winter months. We had some tasteful desserts such as the Calvados apple cake, the chocolate fondant for Christmas, the mini-muffins for the children, and recently the creamy chocolate Tiramisu. Let’s not forget the King cake for the Epiphany Celebration!

Villandry’s gardens and Las Vegas

It has been a great pleasure traveling with you.

Happy Travels to all of you for the upcoming months!
