I paint today

I paint today.

In my imagination,

I sit at the beach, drawing.

Warmer sun,

Yellower sand,

Brighter blue sky

And unfinished endless sea.

I paint a young girl

Running in the street,

Laughing, holding a Lantern

Singing to Ramadan.

No pandemic or bombing outside

Except for fireworks.

I paint a city

With no Fence around.

With full bright lights.

No sniper sits at a watchtower,

Put his eye on the lens of his gun

Shooting every moving object.

I paint a young man with wings.

he flies to his dreams

touching the border that cages

his life

then touching the clouds and say

hello to his fellow birds.

I paint a world

with more trees and less plastic bottles

Where a real superhero is a doctor stayed awake

All night long to save a life.

Where a teacher teaches his kids that human

Race is one equal race.

A world Where I don’t face a gun

Or a prison while asking for my freedom.
