Zurich Art Weekend 2020: 47 exhibitions, 24 galleries and 110 artists

The third edition of Zurich Art Weekend (ZAW), is taking place this week from Friday, September 11th to Sunday, September 13th.

The founders organized an amazing program with curated events and on site and online exhibitions. There will be talks and panel discussions, art walks, art lunches and solo and group shows. Visitors will be able to exchange with artists, gallerists and curators.

Some of the solo and group shows are:

    • The World Upside Down with works on paper by Georg Baselitz at Lévy Gorvy with Rumbler
    • Mama ’20 by Rita Ackermann at Hauser & Wirth
    • Elisabeth Wild curated by Adam Szymczyk at Karma International
    • a retrospective exhibition of Matt Mullican at Mai 36 Galerie

There will be a curated Talk between New York based artist Laurie Andersen and the mayor of Zurich, Corine Mauch. The Art & Science Talks curated by Daniel Baumann, Jacqueline Burckhardt, Adam Jasper and Florian Raijki will take place on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at Luma Westbau.

On Sunday, September 13th at Shedhalle there will be at talk with Marcella Lista (Head Curator, Video and New Media Collection, Musée National d’Art Moderne – Centre Pompidou, Paris) and Nile Koetting, Miriam Stoney, Philipp Bergmann & Thea Reifler (curators at Shedhalle).

The Art Walks, which are about 2 hour long, are done with young curators from the Master in Art Education, Curatorial Studies of the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK) .
